Question 1 How long does it take to have my website up and running?

Answer: Your site will be up and running in as little as 6 weeks after signing your Agreement and paying the set-up fee. Two factors may affect the timing: the speed in which you forward us the necessary information. Level Three sites may take up to eight weeks as they are custom built.

Question 2. What should I do to promote the site?

Answer: There are a number of steps you will need to take to integrate your new site into your business. WRCobbOnline will provide you with detailed information on strategies that will ensure that your new website becomes a critical component to your business strategies. These critical initiatives include:

  • Training your staff so they can easily navigate through the site and refer to it regularly when talking with customers.
  • Ask for email addresses and start building a data base for your email promotions.
  •  Add your website’s URL to all your communications – ads, bags, business cards, etc. should all include your new enhanced website address.

Question 3. Are there other charges beyond the initial set-up fee and monthly charges?

Answer: Yes, there are Merchant Charges of 2.99%, a Transaction Fee of US$10, a Jewelry Box fee (based upon the selection you make during your registration and the type of product shipped), and a shipping fee for each order shipped.

Question 4. What is the suggested mark up I should be using?

As you know, the Internet has changed the rules and margins for every jeweler. WRCobbOnline can help you retain your profitability. Margins vary by market and item, but in general, we recommend a 10% margin on loose diamonds and 50% - 150% margin on jewelry but we will follow the margins you select. However, it is critical to evaluate the pricing in your market – the power of the WRCobbOnline solution is the opportunity for you to win the margin battle versus all your competitors.

Question 5. I’ve heard I can advertise on Google or do pay per click advertising. Do you offer these options and can you explain them?

Answer: Yes. We can provide you guidance or we can run your campaign for you just like an advertising agency. We can build focused, local campaigns or if you want to expand into other markets we can help you build an online marketing campaign for that market. Your cost would be a traditional mark-up of 15%.

Question 6. Can you merge this site with my existing web site?

Answer: We offer a complete web solution that is built for commerce and ready to launch with over 25,000 certified diamonds, high resolution photos of thousands of different pieces of quality jewelry and each imaged to protocol, a number of tools allowing for build your own type of customized jewelry and the latest in web site navigation. Thus, you can’t merge your old site with this site.

Question 7. What company do you use to certify your diamonds?

Answer: Our Diamonds are certified by the leading independent organizations in the world: • International Gemological Institute (IGI) • Gemological Institute of America (GIA) • American Gem Society (AGS) • European Gemological Laboratories (EGL) • The World Diamond Council (HRD)

Question 8. Can I offer some of my own products on this jewelry web site?

Answer: Yes. We offer an “Add Your Product At A Per Shot Cost” facility to our Level 2 and Level 3 members. Our photographers photograph your items to our established protocols and we upload them to your website. The cost is approximately $75 to $100 per image depending on the item.. You are also responsible for the shipping costs associated with having your items sent to our facility on Los Angeles.

Question 9. How long does delivery take and what happens if you can’t deliver on time?

Answer: Most items are shipped in 2-10 business days. We also recommend a 30 day return policy so the customer can cancel or return an item anytime within that period (not including special orders).

Question 10. Do you ship directly to the customer or to my store and I ship to the customer?

Answer: It’s recommended for us to ship directly to your customer for speed and convenience; however, we will set our procedure to your specifications.

Question 11. If you’re shipping directly to the customer, can you use my jewelry boxes?

We can provide a letter to your customer that includes your company logo. Once the letter is approved by you, it will accompany all of the jewelry sent directly to your customers. In addition, you may choose from one of our three jewelry box options. Level III subscribers can ship their branded boxes directly to our warehouse for usage with every shipment.

Question 12. Why do I have to sign up for 24 months?

Answer: The 24 month contract is an industry standard. It allows you to integrate the site into how you do business and allows you enough time to measure the benefits. The development of an e-commerce solution is not a quick fix but a long-term business selling strategy.

Question 13. Can I change from one level (package) to another?

Answer: Yes, as long as you’re moving to a higher level you will only have to pay the difference.

Question 14. I carry several designer lines of jewelry and have links to their web sites. Can we put these links on this web site?

Answer: Yes. Our sites allow for drop down windows, but remember you have marketed your site to drive consumers to visit your online store you don’t want them to leave.

Question 15. What methods other than credit card can I use to pay for this site?

Answer: We require all payments by credit cards.

Question 16. Am I liable for the fraudulent use of credit cards by my customers?

Answer: No. WRCobbOnline is responsible for any fraudulent purchases and pursuing payment or prosecution.

Question 17. Do you offer PayPal?

Answer:  Yes, we offer PayPal.

Question 18. How do I know what and when orders are placed and how am I suppose to track everything?

Answer: You can track all orders through your own “back office” created for you by WRCobbOnline.

Question 19. How do you deal with sizing rings and special orders?

Answer: Customers can include ring sizes with all their orders and we will size the ring accordingly but once sized, these are treated as special orders and non-returnable. Other special orders are also available on a case by case basis. For example, we will quote based on pictures and descriptions provided but these are also considered special orders and non-returnable.
